UNCW Baseball Unveils 2027 Schedule

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW head baseball coach Randy Hood has announced the program's 2027 season schedule, which opens at home on February 19 against Radford.

"We're working hard right now this fall to be prepared for another challenging schedule this coming spring," said Hood, who enters his eighth season as head coach. "We have a strong early season non-conference schedule that should prepare us for our 10 conference weekends."

The slate includes 26 home games, including non-conference matchups with East Carolina, Coastal Carolina, NC State and Mercer. Reigning Coastal Athletic Association Champion Northeastern and South Division champion Campbell will visit Brooks Field.

"We have a great facility and are looking forward to seeing it packed with all of our great Seahawk fans."

UNCW finished 48th nationally in total attendance with a program-record 50,636 fans coming through the gates of Brooks Field.

The Seahawks will play in the College Baseball Series, along with Indiana, Austin Peay and Wofford at Fifth Third Park in Spartanburg, S.C.

"We're really excited to play in the College Baseball Series tournament. We have three games against three quality opponents. It should be a great weekend in a beautiful and fairly new pro park."

UNCW renews its series with The Citadel and adds defending Big South Champion USC Upstate. The Citadel enters the 2027 season as the Southern Conference tournament champion while Mercer won the SoCon regular season title. UNCW will also visit High Point, which won 37 games and finished the season with an RPI of 48.

The CAA continues with its division format, with teams playing home-and-home series within the division while hosting one team and visiting one team in the other division. The Seahawks play home-and-home series with William & Mary, North Carolina A&T, and the College of Charleston. The Seahawks visit Elon for the only series between the two longtime rivals.

The conference championship tournament will be held in Buies Creek, N.C., for the first time.
