Seahawks Complement SDN With Radio Coverage

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW is partnering with Jacksonville-based B&M Broadcasting LLC and The Beach Radio Network to bring Seahawk men's basketball on the airwaves up and down the eastern North Carolina coast this coming season.

UNCW games will be carried on The Beach 94.1 FM/WLSG 1340 AM in Wilmington and New Hanover County and Freedom 97.1 FM/WSME 1120 AM in Jacksonville and Onslow County in 2015-16.

The radio coverage will supplement UNCW's free live streaming on the Seahawk Digital Network via UNCWsports.com.

"We're very excited about the opportunity to bring our men's basketball program back on the radio dial," said UNCW Director of Athletics Jimmy Bass. "We've made great strides with the Seahawk Digital Network (SDN) and it will continue to grow and prosper. This was just too good an opportunity to pass up, and the radio coverage will nicely complement our video coverage over the internet."

In addition to carrying the games, the stations will feature live audio of "Lunch With Coach Keatts" each Monday from Noon-1 p.m. from Buffalo Wild Wings on Old Eastwood Road in Wilmington.
