WILMINGTON, North
Carolina - Sophomore Jamie Dell and freshman Colin Bonner were named
First-Team and All-Rookie, respectively, at the Colonial Athletic Association's
Awards Banquet on Thursday in Philadelphia, Pa.
Dell finished his second year with the Seahawks as the
team's second-leading scorer with 12 points on four goals and four assists, all
career bests. He started 17-of-19 games played and gave UNCW one of the most
creative offensive players in the league.
Dell's biggest goal of the season was the game-winning
strike in UNCW's 2-1 win over Duke midway through the season.
Bonner exploded onto the scene as a freshman in 2012 and
finished the season as UNCW's top scorer with 14 points on six goals and a pair
of assists. His six goals are tied for the lead amongst CAA rookies. Bonner
notched a goal and an assist in UNCW's 4-3 season-ending set back at JMU in the CAA Championship opening round. He
started 16-of-19 games for the Seahawks.
