DURHAM, North Carolina - Duke, Virginia Tech and Florida State swept UNCW on both the men and women's side in a non-conference swimming meet on Saturday in Durham.
The Seahawk men (2-4) saw their modest two-meet winning streak halted while the women dropped to 0-7.
Senior Carly Tanner posted UNCW's top individual finish of the meet when she finished third in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:05.22.
Sophomore Valtteri Halonen added a pair of fifth-place finishes in the 100 and 200 Backstroke events for the Seahawk men.
The Seahawks return to Colonial Athletic Association action on Nov. 3-4 at Delaware for a conference pod meet with William & Mary and the James Madison women's team.
