RALEIGH, North Carolina - Despite a solid attempt with a strong throw, freshman Clarissa Perkins came up short in her attempt to post a qualifying mark in the Discus Throw on Sunday at the Wolfpack Last Chance Meet.
Perkins mark of 44.47 meters was the second best of her season after a mark of 44.63m at the Beaches Vs. Mountains Meet earlier this year.
Barbour finished with a mark of 51.26 meters, but wasn't able to improve his standing in the region.
O'Connor, meanwhile, ran a season-best 1:50.44, but wasn't able to crack the top-50 in the region. Zahorodny finished with a time of 1:54.14.
The Seahawks will find out this week which athletes will compete in the First Round of the NCAA Championships in Jacksonville, Fla, hosted by North Florida.
REID BREAKS OWN UNCW SPRINT RECORD

Carolina - Sophomore Meena Reid broke her own school record in the 100
meters late Sunday as several athletes competed at the Aggie Classic in hopes
of improving their times and qualify for the upcoming NCAA East Regional later
this month.
Reid posted a time of 11.72 seconds in the preliminaries to
eclipse her own record of 11.79 set earlier this season. In the finals, she
fashioned another record time, going 11.71.
Also competing at the meet was Jeremy Johnson, who ran 10.63
seconds in the men's 100 meters.
