GAINESVILLE, Florida -
UNCW set two program relay records and the men's 4x800 relay squad won its
event to pace the Seahawks on Saturday at the Pepsi Florida Relays.
The 4X800 relay tandem of Connor Brooks, Ryan O'Connor, Bob
Vanderham and Wil Zahorodny clocked in with a winning time of 7:28.66.
Setting school records on the final day of the meet were the
women's Sprint Medley Relay and the men's Shuttle Hurdle Relay. The Sprint
Medley relay of Hailey Blackburn, Meena Reid, Ellen Ann Curcio and Becky Boulay
finished 18th with a time of 4:00.41. On the men's Shuttle Relay (1:00.14) were
David Lindsay, Travis Griffin, Brent Campbell and Anthony Colon. That relay finished
third among collegiate entries.
In a late result from Friday night, Lindsay Ester finished
fifth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:11.22.
The Seahawks will compete next in the Coastal Carolina
Classic on April 14.
