SAVANNAH, Georgia
- Rachel Wilson and C.J. Fiala both won two events to lift UNCW to a sweep of
SCAD Savannah in non-conference swimming action on Monday at the Chatham County
Aquatic Center.
The Seahawks completed their training trip with a perfect
4-0 mark as the women raised their record to 7-6 and the men to 6-4. SCAD is
the second-ranked program in both the men's and women's polls in the NAIA.
UNCW captured the women's meet with a score of 135-119 while
the men topped the Bees, 138-109.
Wilson won the 200 yard Freestyle with a time of 1:56.35 and
later added a win in the 500 Free (5:09.80).
Fiala, meanwhile, fashioned a winning time of 26.28 seconds
in the 50 Breaststroke and then went 58.96 in the 100 Breaststroke.
UNCW continues a busy week this Saturday, Jan. 14, when they
host College of Charleston at 2 p.m. at the UNCW Natatorium.
