Each month, the Student-Athlete Support Services Office will recognize one male and one female student-athlete for their academic achievements. The academics staff will nominate worthy candidates and the winners are determined by a number of factors evaluated on a monthly basis. These factors include, but are not limited to, outstanding test results, GPA improvements, demonstrating model study habits, participating in community service activities, and/or positive overall grade reports for a given semester.

Morgan Kline, a junior on the Volleyball team, has been named the November Female Seahawk of the Month. Morgan’s display of academic excellence has already been recognized this semester. She was named to the CAA All-Academic Team a couple weeks back for her efforts in the classroom. Shannon Pease, Volleyball Academic Coordinator, had nothing but kind words to say about Morgan. “Morgan is the epitome of what it means to be a Seahawk student-athlete. She excels on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. She leads by example and has made a lasting impression through her efforts in SAAC. Also, her commitment to her academics is very strong and she sets the bar very high for herself.” Morgan majors in Biology.

Stefan Brewer, a senior on the Men’s Golf team, has been named November Male Seahawk of the Month. “Stefan has shown great energy this semester. He has displayed his dedication to the Wilmington community and to his fellow Seahawk student-athletes in numerous ways. Stefan was very involved in the implementation of the Trask Haunted House in October and continues to contribute during SAAC events and Code Teal Games,” said Academic Coordinator Will Libous. Stefan majors in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
