Seahawk Natatorium

   Six Colonial Athletic Association championships and numerous youth swimming meets have been staged at the Seahawk Natatorium.
   Opened in 1978, the natatorium is one of the finest in the college ranks, featuring eight lanes that cover the 25x20 yard pool. The pool contains 185,000 gallons of water, with a separate diving well that holds 250,000 gallons and descends 17 feet.
   The facility measures 45x60 feet and includes two 3-meter and a pair of 1-meter boards. Other features of the structure include a first-aid and hydrotherapy room, showers and lockerrooms.
   Improvements have kept the natatorium a popular venue. In recent years, additional acoustical tiles have been added, an eight-lane printout Colorado scoreboard has been installed and a new public address system has been put into place.
   In the summer of 2002, the natatorium underwent a major heating and air conditioning renovation.

If Traveling To Wilmington Via I-40: I-40 becomes US 132/S. College Road once the interstate ends. Continue traveling south on College Road approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. Travel approximately ¼ mile and turn left into Parking Lot K. Enter Trask Coliseum and turn right in hallway. Follow signs for the Seahawk Natatorium.

If Traveling To Wilmington Via US 74/76: After crossing the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, US 74/76 is also called Dawson Street. Continue on Dawson Street approximately 1.5 miles. Dawson Street (US 76E) will bear right and become Oleander Drive. Continue on Oleander Drive approximately 2.5 miles until it intersects with US 132N/College Road. Turn left onto College Road. Travel approximately 1 mile north, and then turn right onto Hurst Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first left onto Wagoner Drive. Travel approximately ¼ mile and turn right into Parking Lot K. Enter Trask Coliseum and turn right in hallway. Follow signs for the Seahawk Natatorium.

If Traveling From The North Of Wilmington Via US 17: US 17 becomes Market Street in Wilmington. Continue traveling south on Market Street. Go under the overpass at the junction of US 117S/132S, and immediately turn left at the traffic light onto South College Road. Continue traveling on College Road approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. Travel approximately ¼ mile and turn left into Parking Lot K.  Enter Trask Coliseum and turn right in hallway. Follow signs for the Seahawk Natatorium.

If Traveling From Wilmington International Airport: As you exit the airport, turn left onto 23^rd Street. Turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Continue to the US 132/College Road intersection, and turn right onto College Road. Travel approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Randall Drive at the traffic light. You are now on the UNCW campus. Take your first right onto Wagoner Drive. Travel approximately ¼ mile and turn left into Parking Lot K. Enter Trask Coliseum and turn right in hallway. Follow signs for the Seahawk Natatorium.
