WILMINGTON, N.C. - Jewel Evans' unassisted goal in the second overtime pushed Georgia State past UNCW, 2-1, in the season finale for both teams on Sunday at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The Panthers closed out their season with a 7-12-1 record overall and were 4-6-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association. The Seahawks, meanwhile, ended at 3-16-0 and 1-10-0.

On the game-winner, Evans picked up a cross on the right side, pushed the ball past her defender and shipped a shot over the UNCW goalkeeper from 16 yards out for the winning margin at the 107:54 mark.

UNCW took the lead in the 63rd minute on junior striker Stephanie Rose's fifth goal of the season. Junior Kim Currie began the play on the leftside and sent a cross to the right to an open Rose. After taking a touch, Rose sent her shot inside the left post for the 1-0 lead.

GSU drew even early in the 72nd minute on a goal from Sarah Bennett, her ninth of the season. Lindsay Mortello, who was credited with an assist on the goal, took a shot that was blocked and landed at the feet of Bennett, who slid her shot inside the left post.

Kellianne Collins finished with eight saves on the game for GSU while Caitlin Hunter made six stops for the Seahawks, who were outshot, 22-19.
