UNCW Head Coach Paul Cairney announced the signing of eight players to NLI's during the spring signing period

WILMINGTON, North Carolina - UNCW women's soccer Head Coach Paul Cairney has announced the signing of eight players to National Letters-of-Intent during the spring signing period.

The class includes in-state signees Jordan Brown, Courtney Crump, Lauren Haney, Carolyn Huddy, Caroline McClain and Lauren Nalevaiko, as well as Missouri native Mindy Farmer and Alberta product Kennedy Ulrich. All eight players will join the Seahawks as freshmen for the 2013 season.

"Our 2013 recruiting class will add depth and competition at every position," said UNCW Head Coach Paul Cairney. "We have lost (to graduation) six seniors from our 2012 team who accounted for half our scoring output. The good thing about this is that we have the same amount of offense coming back from our returners."

"I am very excited about our returning group of players," Cairney continued. "They are as blue collar and hard working a unit that I have ever worked with. When we couple this with a good influx of talent in our 2013 signees, I believe we can continue our quest to be champions in our league."
