WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW Head Coach Paul Cairney announced the signing of Ren Waters (Sharpsburg, Ga./East Coweta) and Meg Salvadore (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) to National Letters-of-Intent during the spring signing period on Friday.

Both student-athletes will join the Seahawks as freshmen for the 2014 season.

“It is always exciting to bring in new players,” said Cairney. “In addition to our two signees, we have added some quality recruited walk-ons. We will also continue to recruit for 2014.

“While today we do focus on our incoming players, I feel it is important to blend this in with our excellent returning squad.

“Our 2014 squad will have five returning All-CAA Honorees. Moreover, we have several underclassmen who spurred us to victory last season, and we anticipate this group competing for time in the fall. We look to have a strong mixture of experience and depth.”
