WILMINGTON, North Carolina - UNCW scored five times in the second half to break open a scoreless contest and cruise to a 5-0 shutout of visiting Old Dominion in Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer action Sunday at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The Seahawks improved to 8-6-1 overall and leveled their league mark at 3-3-0 with the victory. The Lady Monarchs moved to 2-11 and 0-5-0 with the loss.

After a scoreless first half, freshman Maddie McCormick got UNCW on the board at the 52:04 mark of the contest, ripping a shot from the top of the box into the left-hand corner of the net for her third goal of the season.
