TOWSON, Maryland - The UNCW women’s basketball team wraps up a two-game road swing Sunday with a 2 p.m. matinee versus Towson at the brand-new SECU Arena.

Live stats and video streaming for the game are available and can be accessed by clicking on the respective links at the top of the page.

The Seahawks (1-16; 0-3 CAA) enter Sunday’s contest eyeing a split of its road trip after suffering a 65-44 setback at defending champion Delaware Friday night. Junior Kelva Atkins tallied 11 points for UNCW, who was limited to just 28.3 percent (13-of-46) shooting for the contest. Atkins was the only Seahawk player to reach double figures as freshmen Brie Mobley and Amber Reeves chipped in eight points apiece.

UNCW did have one of its better free-throw shooting efforts of the season against the Blue Hens, knocking down 17 of 20 attempts at the stripe for an 85.0 percent conversion rate.

Winners of four of its last five contests, Towson (8-8; 2-1 CAA) looks to get back in the win column on Sunday after suffering a 62-57 setback to preseason favorite James Madison at home on Thursday. Senior Tanisha McTiller, a preseason First-Team All-CAA selection, leads the squad in scoring (17.1) and steals (2.4) while ranking second on the team in rebounds (7.5) and assists (2.4). LaTorri Hines-Allen (14.6 PPG) and Dominque Johnson (11.6 PPG) provide scoring depth for first-year head coach Niki Reid Geckeler while Johnson paces the roster with 71 assists.

Sunday’s contest marks the 23rd meeting between UNCW and Towson. All 22 previous matchups have come since the Tigers joined the CAA prior to the start of the 2001-02 season. UNCW has won six of the last eight matchups against Towson to build a 13-9 edge in the series, but the Tigers enter Sunday’s matchup having swept the season series in 2012-13. Towson recorded a 55-53 triumph at the Towson Center on Jan. 27 before posting a 66-57 victory in Trask Coliseum March 6.

UNCW returns home after Sunday’s contest as it will welcome William & Mary to Trask Coliseum for a 7 p.m. matchup.
