The Blue Hens improved to 13-1 overall and moved to 4-0 in league play as they remained in a tie with Hofstra atop the league standings. Playing the 1,000th game in program history, the Seahawks suffered their second straight road setback as they slipped to 8-7 and 1-3. Junior Elena Delle Donne, the nation's leading scorer, finished with a game-high 23 points to power a Delaware attack that shot 47.7 percent (31-of-65) from the field. Junior Lauren Carra joined Delle Donne in double figures with 12 points while junior Danielle Parker grabbed nine rebounds to help the Blue Hens enjoy a 46-37 advantage on the glass. Delaware never trailed in the contest, racing out to a quick 9-2 lead before using a 13-0 run to stretch an 11-7 advantage to a 24-7 cushion with 9:17 remaining in the opening frame. A pair of free throws and a layup by Weaver on back-to-back possessions stemmed the Blue Hens spurt and trimmed the Seahawks deficit to 24-11 before the two sides proceeded to trade baskets over the remainder of the period to give Delaware a 36-20 lead at the break. The Blue Hens maintained a comfortable distance from the Seahawks in the second half, opening with 11 of the first 15 points of the frame to build a 47-24 edge before closing out the contest with an 11-1 spurt to determine the final 32-point margin.
