NCBWA Tabs Dick As Freshman All-America

WILMINGTON, North Carolina - UNCW freshman designated hitter Corey Dick was voted second-team Freshman All-America by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Monday.
Dick also earned freshman All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball and was on the Colonial Athletic Association's All-Rookie squad.
As a freshman, Dick batted .302 with eight home runs and 11 doubles. He started 50-of-58 games played, primarily at designated hitter. Dick scored 28 runs and knocked in 35.
The Seahawks captured their third CAA tournament crown in 2012 after cruising through the league with a 24-6 record. UNCW concluded the season with a loss to NC State in the NCAA Raleigh Regional.
