continues to ignite the Seahawks at the top of the order, hitting .333 last
week, scoring three runs and posting an on base average of .429. Bass also
stole two bases to push his season total to eight. Bass carries a 13-game on
base streak and a seven-game hitting streak into this week's action.
CAA Pitcher of the Week Nominee: Jordan
Ramsey, Sophomore, RHP, Lexington, N.C./North Davidson
tossed 6 and 2/3 shutout innings against San Diego, but didn't figure in the
decision. He allowed just four this and three walks while striking out six as
he was matched up against former first round selection Dylan Covey of USD.
Ramsey has now totaled 14 and 2/3 innings without allowing an earned run.
CAA Rookie of the Week: Terence
Connelly, Infielder, Freshman, Garden City, N.Y./Chaminade
- Connelly got
on track offensively over the weekend going 3-for-7 (.429) and knocking in two
runs. Defensively, he figured in three of UNCW's school record tying five
doubles plays on Sunday against Gardner-Webb.

inning games over the weekend, going 2-1 ... Ryan LaGrange provided UNCW's second
game-winning homer of the season when he hit his first career round tripper
