WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men’s tennis team went undefeated in singles on the final day of the Seahawk Invitational to close out the three-day event with a combined 30-3 record.

The Seahawks finished with a 19-3 singles mark and unblemished 11-0 doubles scorecard in their fifth and final appearance of the fall season.

“This was a great way for us to finish our fall season as a team,” said veteran Head Coach Mait DuBois. “This group made a lot of strides this fall and it showed in how we finished the event against three very strong teams.

“I was pleased with our doubles teams going undefeated and with six of our eight players finishing undefeated in singles. We look forward to training in the off season and starting the spring schedule in January.”

The Seahawks kick off the spring season on Sunday, Jan. 19, when Appalachian State visits Wilmington.
