Release: 04/07/2012 ATLANTA, Georgia - The 37th-ranked UNCW men's tennis team extended its winning streak to five matches by dominating Troy, 7-0, at Piedmont Park on Saturday. The Seahawks raised their record to 14-4 with the convincing win over the Trojans on a neutral court. Troy plummeted to 4-15 this spring. UNCW swept the doubles point by taking all three matches early in the match. The No. 2 team of Michael Reilly and Sam Williams was the first off the court following an 8-3 dismantling of Tadju Davies and Jamie Eccleton. Pedro Mol and Kaue Pereira, playing the No. 3 slot, then clinched the point by beating Patrick Eichler and Anas Rouchdj, 8-4. The No. 1 team of Chris Cooprider and Kosta Blank added an 8-4 decision over Sami Ghorbel and Mansingh Athare for their seventh straight doubles win. The Seahawks dominated the six singles matches as well, winning each one in straight sets. Cooprider breezed past Ghorbel, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 2 singles to raise the score to 2-0 and Mol pasted Eccleton by the same score to increase the lead to 3-0. Blank then delivered the clincher by thumping Eichler, 6-4, 6-0, at No. 4 singles.
