WILMINGTON, Delaware - Led by Payne McLeod and Ryan Nagy, UNCW finished the opening round of the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golf Championship in second-place, one stroke behind leader Georgia State at the Wilmington Country Club.

McLeod (72) is tied for third while Nagy (74) is tied for fifth overall.

Georgia State (300) was led by Damon Stephenson (71), who is in second, and has no golfers outside the top 16.

VCU's Marc Dobias leads the medalist board, carding a one-under 70 in the opening 18 holes.

Patrick Sawrey is the only other Seahawk in the top-20, posting a five-over 76.

Stefan Brewer (79) and Thomas Bass (80) are tied for 28th and 38th, respectively.

The tournament resumes on Saturday and will conclude on Sunday.
