SOUTHPORT, North Carolina – UNCW freshman Preston Harrington posted a team-low 74 in the second round of the Colonial Athletic Association men’s golf championship on Saturday to move into the top-10 and join teammates Stefan Brewer and Payne McLeod.

The Seahawks, who began the day in third, dropped one spot back into fourth after combining to go 13-over-par on the round. The College of Charleston finished three-under in the round to move into a tie with Towson for the tournament lead. UNCW trails third-place William & Mary by three strokes.

Juan Veloza of Towson and CofC’s John Jonas carded identical rounds of four-under-par-68’s to move from 11th to share the tournament lead. Brewer dropped back into third while McLeod is tied for sixth.

The third and final round tees off on Sunday. UNCW will be paired with W&M and teeing off on hole one at 8 a.m.
