CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina – Senior Ryan Nagy, who is tied for 24th overall, carded a one-under-par-71 in the opening round to lead UNCW after two rounds on Saturday at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate at the Finley Golf Course.
Georgia Tech (283-281=564), which has four golfers in the top-8, owns a 15-stroke lead over ACC rival North Carolina State (284-295=579).
Ramblin’ Wreck teammates Seth Reeves (69-69=138) and Richy Werenski (71-68=139) lead the 80-player field with Brandon Dalinka (72-69=142), of UNC Chapel Hill, in third.
Payne McLeod (73-74=147) and Stefan Brewer (72-75=147) of UNCW are tied for 28th overall entering the final round on Sunday.
The Seahawks tee off the final round on Sunday at 7:30 a.m.
