WILMINGTON, North Carolina - UNCW heads south this week for the fifth annual Rees Jones Invitational, hosted by South Carolina, on Oct. 1-2. The 54-hole tournament will be played at the Haig Point Club on the Rees Jones Signature Course. A first-team All-CAA selection as a sophomore, McLeod opened the season with an impressive outing in helping the Seahawks finish sixth in a 14-team field that included six teams that played in the 2012 NCAA tournament.[Story/Results] McLeod opened the final day in a tie for 19th overall, but fashioned an even-par 72 to climb seven spots on the leader board and post his 16th career top-20 finish. Head Coach Matt Clark will field the same lineup for the second consecutive tournament and junior Josh Woodfox will make his season debut, competing as an individual for the Seahawks. |
