WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW Head Coach Kristy Norton announced the signing of Kelsey Bryan (Raleigh, N.C./Garner Magnet), Abby Harris (Fayetteville, N.C./Jack Britt), Tracy Haynes (Kernersville, N.C./Robert B. Glenn), Monica Taylor (Weaverville, N.C./North Buncombe) and Ty Triplett (Morganton, N.C./Draughn) to National Letters-of-Intent during the fall signing period.

All five student-athletes will join the Seahawks as freshman for the 2015 season.

“Our coaching staff is very excited about the class of 2014,” said Norton, who is entering her second season with the program. “These athletes bring a competitive attitude to our squad that will make us better on a daily basis.  They have achieved great things at their current club and high school level but are all excited about putting on their UNCW uniforms next season.

“What makes me feel that we got the right athletes for this class is that they each echoed one sentiment throughout the recruiting process; that their goal was to put UNCW at the top of the CAA during their time here. I expect them to help us do just that.”
