MOUNT PLEASANT, South Carolina – In its second outdoor meet of the season, UNCW’s men’s and women’s programs combined to win seven events and post a pair of top-10 marks on Friday at the Palmetto Classic.

Breaking into the women’s all-time top-10 in the High Jump were Margaret Edwards and Emily Kimble, who both tied for the win after posting best marks of 5-5, tying them for 10th all-time.

In the 110 meter hurdles, sophomore Hezekiah Ward top the field with a time of 15.25 seconds. Senior Anthony Colon finished third with a time of 15.51.

The Seahawk men dominated the 400 meters by taking the top five times. Finishing in the top three were event winner Trip Foreman (49.44) and he was followed by junior Cody Love and senior Dylan Skinner.

Sophomore Alyssa Omile took second in the women’s 400 meters.

In the 800, sophomore Meredith Bozzi finished first in a time of 2:20.10.

Sophomore Sarah Whitman (26.27) won the 200 meters.

Freshman sprinter Ryan Edmonds captured the 100 meters and junior Cam Walton finished third with times of 11.05 and 11.13 seconds, respectively.

The Seahawks host the first of two home meets this season when they return to the Greene Track & Field Complex for the UNCW Seahawk Invitational on Mar. 14-15.
