WINSTON-SALEM, North CarolinaMikayla Kinloch and Trip Foreman won their heats in the Triple Jump and 400 meters, respectively, to pace UNCW on day one of the Hilton Garden Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Kinloch used a jump of 36-00.75 feet to win her heat of the Triple Jump and finish 14th overall in the event. It was her second career appearance in the Triple Jump indoors.

In the men’s 400 meters, Foreman fashioned a time of 50.98 to win his heat in the event.

UNCW’s top finish of the afternoon was posted by Andy Jung, who set a new indoor personal record with a vault of 14-11 feet to finish fifth.

In the women’s Pole Vault, Molly Love, Marlee Cadwell and Carolyn Edler tied for 10th with a mark of 10-6.

The meet concludes on Saturday.
