WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Juniors Meena Reid and Aerial Chatman are ranked among the top-20 times/marks in the East Region according to TFRRS.org, the official results website for the NCAA and qualifying for the NCAA First Round.

Reid, who has been a one-women wrecking crew on the UNCW sprint records, is 17th in the East in the 100 meters after posting a UNCW record time of 11.59 seconds at the Winthrop Invitational in late March.

Chatman, meanwhile, ranks 20th in the East in the men’s Triple Jump, an event he qualified for and competed in at the East First Round last spring. Chatman used a mark of 49-9 3/4 feet at the Shamrock Invitational in mid-March to check into the top 20.

Just outside the top 30 in the East Region and looking to qualify are Reid in the 200 meters, sophomore Ryan O'Connor and junior Dylan Skinner in the 800 meters and sophomore Shelby Hall in the Heptathlon.

Reid, who also owns the school record in the 200 meters, is 32nd in that event after running 23.92 at the Winthrop Invitational.

O’Connor (1:50.99) and Skinner (1:51.17) are ranked 32nd and 38th, respectively, in the 800 meters following strong showings at the Pepsi Florida Relays last weekend.

Hall, meanwhile, is 32nd after scoring a career-best 4,275 points at the Shamrock Invitational.

UNCW has three meets before the Colonial Athletic Association Championships beginning Apr. 13 in Conway, S.C., with the Coastal Carolina Classic. Following that meet is the Charlotte Invitational (Apr. 19) and the Penn Relays (Apr. 25-27).
