COLUMBIA, South Carolina – Sophomore Hailey Blackburn won the women’s 100 meters to highlight UNCW’s effort on Saturday at the Weems Baskin Invitational.

Blackburn, who clocked in at 11.96 seconds, was one of five Seahawks to post top-three finishes on the afternoon.

Mikayla Kinloch finished second in the Long Jump with a mark of 16-7.

Adding third-place finishes were Jeremy Johnson in the men’s 100 meters (10.82) and Kiyla Herring in the 400 Hurdles (1:05.52).

In relay action, the men’s 4x400 relay of Jamar Collins-Hall, Dylan Skinner, Ryan O’Connor and Trip Foreman placed third with a time of 3:21.06.

The Seahawks next compete in the fifth annual Beaches Vs. Mountains where they’ll join forces with East Carolina in a dual meet against Appalachian State and Western Carolina. The meet will be held on the ASU campus in Boone, N.C.
