CHARLOTTE, North CarolinaKyle Barbour, Dylan Skinner and Kyle Campbell posted top-three finishes on Thursday to highlight UNCW’s outing at the Charlotte Invitational at the Irwin Belk Track & Field Center.

Barbour posted UNCW’s top finish with a second-place showing in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 183-7 feet.

Skinner and Campbell, meanwhile, added third-place finishes in the 800 meters and Javelin, respectively. Skinner ran 1:50.64, a season-best for the Seahawks, while Campbell reached 169-11 feet.

Contributing fourth-place finishes on the afternoon were Liz Roution and Mike Parsons in the men’s and women’s 5,000 meter races, respectively.

Dakota Foskey finished fifth in the women’s 5,000 while Melissa Stallings was fifth in the Javelin with a mark of 125-7.

The meet continues on Friday with an 11 a.m. start. The start was pushed up to 11 a.m. due to expected bad weather later in the day.
