ROCK HILL, South Carolina Meena Reid won the 200 meters to lead UNCW on the opening day of the Winthrop Invitational in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Friday.

Reid was the lone Seahawk winner, but UNCW did post over 10 finishes of third or better.

In theHurdles, Krista Mangum placed second in the 100 Hurdles (14.96) while David Linday was third in the men’s 110 Hurdles. Both advanced to Saturday’s finals.

In the 100 meters, Jeremy Johnson advanced to the finals with a time of 10.71 seconds.

Also advancing to Saturday’s finals was Dylan Skinner in the 400 meters.

In the Hammer, Kyle Barbour took third with a mark of 177-11 feet while Dn Cherry finished fourth in the women’s event (16206).

Marlee Cadwell and Carolyn Edler finished second and third in the Pole Vault.

Jessica Van Hulst and Emily Kimble tied for third in the High Jump (5-3).

The meet concludes on Saturday.
