UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.Matt Foster, Cameron Shaw and Meena Reid all scored points for UNCW with top-eight finishes on Friday at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup at the Ashenfelter Track on the campus of Penn State.

Foster, a sophomore, finished fourth in the 60-meter Hurdles with a career-best time of 8.18 seconds, which ranks fifth all-time on UNCW’s indoor record list. He advanced to the finals with a time of 8.28 seconds in the preliminaries.

Shaw, meanwhile, took seventh in the 60 meters with a time of 6.98 seconds. He advanced to the finals with a preliminary time of 6.94, which ranks sixth in Seahawk history.

Reid, a senior, posted UNCW’s top finish of the afternoon, when she clocked in at 7.51 seconds to finish second in the women’s 60 meters.

In the women’s Pole Vault, sophomore Carolyn Edler and freshman Molly Love tied for ninth with a mark of 10-8.25 feet.

Sophomore Nate Chronister led the Seahawks in the Long Jump with a distance of 22-2.25.

The meet concludes on Saturday beginning with the Men’s Vault at 11 a.m.
