WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina – Senior Meena Reid’s third-place finish in the 60-meters led UNCW, which posted seven top-six finishes on the final day of the Hilton Garden Invitational on Saturday at the JDL Fast Track.

Reid, who narrowly missed tying her own 60-meter record last weekend, clocked in with a time of 7.51 seconds to finish third. She advanced to the finals with a time of 7.60 in winning her semifinal heat.

In the meet finale, the Seahawks 4x400 relay of Cody Love, Trip Foreman, Kyle McLendon and Jamar Collins-Hall finished second with a time of 3:22.87.

UNCW posted a pair of top-six finishes in the 200 meters with freshman Gabriella Robinson (26.23) placing sixth in the women’s race and junior Cameron Shaw (22.84) was fifth in the men’s race.

Junior Cam Walton (22-09 feet) and sophomore Nate Chronister (22-04.25) finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the Long Jump. Both posted their best jumps on their first attempts.

In the women’s High Jump, freshman Margaret Edwards was fifth with a mark of 5-05.

The Seahawks head to Penn State for the Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup on Feb. 7-8.
