WILMINGTON, North Carolina - In a week where academics honors have made their way to UNCW, the Seahawk women's track and field program was honored by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as an All-Academic program.

The Seahawks finished the 2011-12 academic year with a combined grade point average of 3.19. UNCW was one of six schools in the Colonial Athletic Association to earn the distinction.

UNCW had five Seahawks earn All-CAA honors, including Pole Vaulter Jordan Daywalt, who was honored earlier this week by the USTFCCCA as an All-Academic performer. Daywalt set the program record in the Vault and advanced to the NCAA First Round where she finished 27th.
