Seahawks Head
To Northeastern
UNCW will look to ride the momentum of Wednesday come-from-behind win against
Georgia State into the final stretch as it looks to secure a CAA tournament
berth. The Seahawks (6-8-1, 3-4 CAA) have their work cutout for them on Saturday
as they take on the co-conference leading Huskies (10-1-2, 5-0-1) of Northeastern,
who carry a nine-game unbeaten streak into the contest.
UNCW is tied for fourth, along with George Mason and Hofstra, all with nine points. NU and Drexel top the ladder with 16 points apiece. Per conference rules, ODU and Georgia State aren't eligible for the CAA championship tournament as both are leaving the CAA following this academic year. [Standings]
