Miller Stops Seven In Scoreless Draw

GREENSBORO, North Carolina - Senior Brandon Miller made seven stops in recording his third shutout of the season as UNCW battled Southern Conference regular season champion UNC Greensboro to a scoreless draw on Tuesday at the UNCG Soccer Stadium.

The Seahawks halted a halted a brief two-game losing skid with the draw and moved to 3-11-2 overall after concluding the non-conference portion of the schedule. The Spartans, meanwhile, ran their record to 8-7-2.

Miller's seven saves were the second most this season, tailing the eight he made in the season-opener against nationally-ranked North Carolina.

UNCG's Peyton Ford made four saves as the Spartans outshot the Seahawks by a narrow 15-14 margin.

The Seahawks close out their season hosting George Mason at 7 p.m. on November 5. It will be the final game in the careers of six Seahawks. Joining Miller in making the farewell to the Seahawks will be Shaun Utterson, Daniel Roberts, Shawn Guderian, Brian Harrison and Christian Davidson.
