WILMINGTON, N.C. - With the season entering the final week, it'll be a short turnaround for the Seahawks when they retake the field on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Southern Conference regular season champion UNC Greensboro.

While the Seahawks are coming off a tough 2-1 double-overtime setback to Delaware, the Spartans captured the Southern Conference regular season title with a 1-0 win over Elon. UNCG enters the game with a mark of 8-7-1 overall. Hakan Ilhan leads the Spartans with nine goals and 21 points on the season while Austin Miller checks in with six goals and four assists. Defense has been a strong suit for the Spartans, allowing just 0.78 goals per game with Peyton Ford stopping 86.4% of the shots he's faced.

Red-shirt freshman Jack Ward notched his third goal of the season to give UNCW an early 1-0 lead against Delaware, but the Blue Hens equalized midway through the second half and then earned all three points with a goal in the second overtime.

Ward moved into a tie with Thomas Driver for the team lead with three goals on the season. Daniel Roberts continues to lead the squad with seven points and five assists. The one-goal loss was the eighth of the season.

UNCW closes out its season on Nov. 5, when George Mason visits the UNCW Soccer Stadium. The game will be the final game for Seahawk seniors Christian Davidson, Shawn Guderian, Brandon Miller, Daniel Roberts, Shaun Utterson and Brian Harrison.
