WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW head men’s soccer coach Aidan Heaney has announced the addition of Lee Williams to his coaching staff for the 2013-14 season.

Lee Williams joins the UNCW staff following a four-year career at Appalachian State that saw him earn All-Southern Conference honors on three occasions, including first-team honors in 2012.

Williams was also named to the Hermann Watch List in 2012 and helped lead the Mountaineers to an 8-7-4 overall record while allowing a SoCon-low 19 goals on the season, ranking 50th nationally with a 0.95 goals against average.

A native of Liverpool, England, Williams played and started in all 64 games for ASU, playing every minute. During his time at Appalachian State, he worked with High Country Soccer as a volunteer coach before he joined Lees-McRae in the spring of 2013 as an assistant coach of the men’s soccer team.
