PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – Led by Colonial Athletic Association first-teamer Jacob VanCompernolle, a junior defender, UNCW landed a total of four players on the league’s All-Conference squads on Wednesday at the awards banquet on the eve of the championship semifinal round.

Joining VanCompernolle, who was also a member of the All-Academic squad, on the All-CAA squads were second team honorees sophomore striker Colin Bonner and red-shirt sophomore midfielder David Sizemore. Freshman midfielder Kellen Foster was named to the All-Freshman team.

Bonner enters the tournament as the league’s reining Player-of-the-Week honoree after recording his first career hat trick in the regular season finale against Northeastern. His three-goal outing was his second multi-goal game of the season and first since a two-goal effort against Ohio State in the season opener. Bonner leads the Seahawks with 15 points on a team-high six goals and three assists.

Sizemore finished the regular season with four goals and scored twice in a draw with nationally-ranked William & Mary. Sizemore made is arrival as a goal scorer for the Seahawks in last year’s opening round loss at James Madison when he scored twice in the second half to rally the Seahawks and force overtime.

Rounding out UNCW’s honorees is Kellen Foster, who was named to the All-Rookie squad. He started 14-of-16 games played at midfield and gave the Seahawks a strong ball-controlling presence in the middle of the field.

The Seahawks open the CAA championship semifinal round with a 4 p.m. kickoff against William & Mary. Links to live streaming and stats will be available at UNCWsports.com.
