WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women’s golf team continues its spring schedule this weekend with a trip to Baton Rouge, La., for the LSU Tiger Golf Classic.

The 54-hole, five-count-four event will take place on the par 72, 6,305 yard layout of The University Club, which has served as host for all but one of the tournament’s nine-year history. The first two rounds will see teams begin play at 9:30 a.m. EST on holes No. 1 and No. 10 in three-player waves. Sunday’s final round will begin with a 9:30 a.m. EST shotgun start.

The Seahawks find themselves part of a talented 14-team field that features four top 25 teams in Arkansas (8), Georgia (18), NC State (20) and Tulane (25). In addition to the quartet of top 25 programs, five teams in the top 50 – Tennessee (29), host LSU (30), Kentucky (36), Florida State (43) and Mississippi (48) – are also part of the tournament lineup. Louisiana-Monroe, Missouri, TCU and Wake Forest round out the tournament field.
