Seahawks Close Home Slate With Towson
Due to severe weather in the Wilmington area on Saturday, the game has been moved to Sunday and kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. The Seahawks enter their final two games of the regular season looking to return to the CAA tournament after missing the two previous seasons. Towson, meanwhile, needs to win in order to extend its season. The Tigers are playing their regular season finale on Sunday.
Northeastern Holds Off Seahawks For 2-1 Win In Boston
Colin Bonner netted his fifth goal of the season for UNCW, but the Seahawks were unable to overcome a three-point night by Northeastern's Don Anding as the Huskies edged the Seahawks, 2-1, in Colonial Athletic Association soccer action Saturday at Parsons Field. [Story/Box Score]
Offense Getting A Boost
After notching just 20 games in 18 games in 2011, the Seahawks have totaled 24 goals through 16 contests. Colin Bonner's five goals lead the Seahawks while fellow underclassmen Jamie Dell and Nathaniel Goodwin have four goals apiece and give the Seahawks a force to reckon with in the coming seasons.

While the Seahawks sit in seventh place overall, they are in sixth and occupy final playoff spot entering the weekend. Fourth-place Old Dominion isn't eligible for the conference tournament in its final season as a member of the CAA. UNCW holds a one-point advantage over Towson and a three-point lead on Delaware. With a pair of wins to close out the season, the Seahawks would clinch a tournament berth.
How Fresh Of Ya!
Freshmen Colin Bonner, Nathaniel Goodwin and Hannes Schmitz combined for all three goals against William & Mary. Of UNCW's 24 goals, freshmen and sophomore have scored 23. The other goal was scored by Michael Recchia, a game-winner vs. Hofstra.

A Look At Towson [Web site]
The Tigers tied Northeastern, 2-2, in midweek action in their home finale. Olakunle Banjo leads Towson with 12 points on four goals and four assists. Enrico Skrypzak is second on the team with three goals. Towson has managed just 15 goals in 15 games this season. Felix Petermann has played every minute of the season in goal for Towson. He has a 1.60 goals against average and made 68 saves.
The Last Time They Met ...
Thomas Driver netted his third goal of the season for UNCW, but it was a strike from Towson's Phil Martinelli in the 64th minute that lifted the host Tigers to a 2-1 win over the Seahawks in 2011. [ Story/Box ] The Seahawks own a 6-3-1 lead in the series. [Results]
Colonial Athletic Association
UNCW was picked in a tie for eighth with Hofstra in the 12-team circuit in a vote of the league's coaches (story). The CAA sent four teams to the NCAA tournament including conference champion Delaware, who claimed the league title for the first time. Joining the Blue Hens in the 48-team tournament were Old Dominion, James Madison and Georgia State. ODU was picked by the league's coaches to win the conference title and received nine of a possible 11 first-place votes. James Madison received one vote and was second followed by defending champion Delaware. William & Mary and Northeastern rounded out the top five.
