WILMINGTON, North Carolina - UNCW junior Lori Beth Adams was named CAA Co-Women's Golfer-of-the-Week, league officials announced on Thursday.

Adams, who shared the honor with Xavier's Breanna Patz, was recognized for the third time this season after earning the award twice during the fall portion of UNCW's schedule (Sept. 19 and Oct. 10).

Adams posted her fifth top 20 finish of the season with a tie for 18th in the first-ever FSU Match Up Tournament on the par 72, 6,314-yard Southwood Golf Course in Tallahassee, Fla., Feb. 15-17. The Burlington, N.C., product finished the 54-hole event with a nine-over-par total of 225 (79-72-74) as she carded her fourth round of par or lower this season with even-par total in the second round.

"It is a well deserved honor for Lori Beth as she fought back after getting off to a poor start during the beginning of the first round," said UNCW Head Coach Cindy Ho. "She did a great job in settling down and executing remainder of the first round then playing solid the last two rounds in posting her 5th top-20 finish of the season. She's worked very hard on her game and played very consistently though out year so far."

UNCW returns to action in the JMU Eagle Landing Tournament March 8-10 in Jacksonville, Fla.
