WILMINGTON, N.C. – The 2008-09 athletic year is under way and several enhancements to UNCWsports.com, the official internet website for Seahawk Athletics, are planned.
HawkVision enters its second year and will add volleyball to its scheduled coverage this fall with the streaming of 17 matches, including the entire home schedule. The Seahawks open their season Friday (Aug. 29) against Radford in the “Battle at the Beach” Tournament. This weekend’s matches will be shown for free. Following this weekend’s action, fans can purchase single game streams for $4.95 or a monthly package for $8.95 per month for all broadcasts on HawkVision.
Another new addition to UNCWSports.com is the Seahawk Blog. The blog is another avenue for fans to follow the Seahawks, featuring shorter bits of information throughout the year. Ticket and game-weather updates may be found at uncwsports.blogspot.com or by clicking on the Seahawk Blog button on UNCWsports.com.
Live statistics for men’s and women’s soccer will also be introduced at UNCWsports.com. Soccer fans will be able to follow the Seahawks throughout the match with updated statistics and time remaining from whistle to whistle.
