(This is the third in a series of capsules highlighting the successful 2011-12 sports season at UNCW)

    When it comes to women's golf, the Seahawks have established a penchant for collecting CAA titles, capturing four championships in the last six seasons on the links. Led by two-time CAA Coach-of-the-Year Cindy Ho, UNCW fashioned a four-stroke victory over James Madison in late April at St. James Plantation in Southport, N.C. Senior Sofia Hagsund was selected First-Team All-CAA for the second straight year and sophomores Laverry Kumar and Lori Beth Adams gathered in Second-Team honors. Overall, the Seahawks posted five top-10 finishes and four top-5 finishes during the course in a successful year for the program.
