FAIRFAX, Va. – UNC Wilmington freshman Kobi Salinas won the men’s 3-meter dive as the Seahawks won their seventh consecutive Colonial Athletic Association championship Saturday at the McKay Natatorium. The Lady Seahawks finished third behind champion Towson and second-place William & Mary.
The men outdistanced themselves from second-place Old Dominion by 116 points.
Salinas, who also was the CAA 1-meter dive champion, collected 340.60 points on Saturday.
Freshman Luke Murphy again gave the Seahawks an early lift by finishing second in the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 15:49.71.
Junior Danielle Mortensen finished second in the women’s 1650 Free, posting a NCAA “B” qualifying time of 16:39.39.
Sophomore Chantal Woodard captured the women’s 200 backstroke championship in a time of 2:04.22.
