BLACKSBURG, VirginiaKatie Lohr and Cameron Washburn tied for first in the 100 Freestyle and Jeff Laliberte won the 200 Butterfly to lead UNCW at the Virginia Tech Invitational on Sunday at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.

The trio led a UNCW contingent that recorded nine top-three finishes on the day.

Lohr and Washburn both touched the wall in a time of 53.02 seconds while Laliberte posted a winning time of 1:50.64.

Adding second-place finishes on Sunday were Sarah Doyle (200 Breaststroke), Emma Werkiser (200 Butterfly), Heather Shaver and Matt Byrd in the women’s and men’s 300 IM, respectively.

Nik Hammonds (100 Free) and Taylor Wilson (200 Breast) had third-place finishes for the Seahawks.

The Seahawks will close out their season on Feb. 26-Mar. 1, in College Park, Md.
