Conrad Wins Heat, Places 44th At Trials

Release: 06/30/2012 WILMINGTON, North Carolina - UNCW's Stephen Conrad won his heat and finished 44th overall in the 100 Butterfly on Saturday at the US Swimming Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb. Conrad, who posted a time of 54.48 seconds, fashioned the best finish of five Seahawks competing at the Olympic Trials that included Anna Munger, Joe Gallene, Alex Aguilar and C.J. Fiala. Joe Gallene was one of three Seahawks to compete in the 50 Free and finished tied for 116th overall. Aguilar and Fiala also raced in the 50 meter Freestyle and placed 164th and 139th, respectively. |
