WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW senior golfers Payne McLeod and Stefan Brewer were named First-team and Second-team All-Colonial Athletic Association, respectively, by the league’s coaches following top-10 finishes at the championships in late April.

“I’m happy for both Payne and Stefan for their honors,” said UNCW Head Coach Matt Clark. “Both made tremendous contributions to the program, both on the course, in the classroom and in the community, during their careers.”

McLeod, who finished his career with his 18th-top-10 finish at the CAA Championship, led the Seahawks with a 73 stroke average and five top-10 finishes in 2013-14. He recorded four of those top-10’s in the spring season that cumulated with a fourth-place showing at the conference championship. McLeod, who was also was a four-time first-team All-CAA honoree, was also named to the league’s All-Academic squad.

Brewer capped his senior season with a fifth-place finish in the CAA Championship. His 69-77-73=219 tied a season best and his opening round three-under-par 69 was a season-low round. Brewer earned second-team honors for the second consecutive year.
