WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW freshman diver Allen Crosby capped his outstanding freshman campaign by being named Colonial Athletic Association Rookie-of-the-Year following an impressive showing in the post-season.

“Allen had set high personal goals for himself coming into UNCW,” said UNCW Head Diving Coach Beau Bunn. “For him to win Rookie of the year, paired with both freshman records, caps off a successful freshman year for him. This individual accomplishment paired with the high finishes of both Nathan Lane and Chase Seymour at the CAA Championships, allowed the UNCW Men’s Swimming and Diving team to continue the dynasty for the 13th straight year.”

Crosby helped the Seahawk men to their 13th consecutive CAA championship with a pair of third-place finishes at the CAA Championships in College Park, Md., in late February. He totaled 311.65 points in the one-meter and followed that up with 353.15 points in the three-meter competition.

At the NCAA Zone B Championships, Crosby finished 29th in the 1-meter and 30th in the 3-meter.

Crosby joins current Seahawk Diving coach Beau Bunn (1996), Kobi Salinas (2008) and J.T. Perryman (2012) as CAA Diving Rookies-of-the-Year.
