WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women’s golf team continues its spring schedule this weekend as it participates in the 17th annual Bryan National Collegiate.
The 54-hole, five-count-four event will take place on the par-72, 6,386 yard layout of the Champions Course at the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center in Browns Summit, N.C. The teams are scheduled to play 18 holes each day, with action scheduled to begin with 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts on Friday and Sunday and an 8:20 a.m. split-tee format on Saturday.

The Seahawks are once again part of a deep field as the 18-team event features eight squads currently listed in the top 25 of the last Golfweek rankings, highlighted by No. 3 Duke and also including South Carolina (13), Clemson (15), Northwestern (18), Florida (20), co-host Wake Forest (21) UNC Chapel Hill (23) and Michigan State (24). Fellow Colonial Athletic Association member College of Charleston, Florida State, Longwood, Louisville, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, co-host UNCG and Virginia will also join the Seahawks in the tournament field.
Seniors Lori Beth Adams, Megan Burnham and Laverry Kumar will anchor Head Coach Cindy Ho’s lineup for the Bryan National Collegiate. Adams, who has four top-20 finishes in six tournaments this season, continues to pace UNCW with a 74.61 stroke average while Kumar ranks second (78.66). Sophomores Annette Lyche (79.16) and Meghan Theiss (79.33), who rank third and fourth on the squad in stroke average, will also be in the lineup this weekend.
UNCW returns to action April 5-6 as it closes out the regular season with the UNCW Lady Seahawk Classic at the River Landing Golf Course in nearby Wallace, N.C.
