WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW looks to carry momentum from last weekend’s sweep at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational when it heads to Myrtle Beach for the CCU Shamrock Invitational beginning on Thursday and runs through Saturday.

Three weeks into the outdoor season, the Seahawks have 10 athletes that rank in the top 10 of their event in the East Region, including two who own the top time or mark in their events.

Holding the top spots in the men’s 1500 meters and women’s High Jump are Dylan Skinner and Margaret Edwards, respectively. Skinner, who will run the 800 meters this meet, posted a time of 3:50.87 last weekend at the Seahawk Invitational to take the top spot in the East Region. Edwards also performed well at the Seahawk Invitational, recording a mark of 5-8.75 feet to move into the leading spot in the region.

UNCW also boasts a pair of athletes that are ranked in the region in their events. Junior Cody Love captured the 400 Hurdles last weekend with a time of 52.43 to ranked second in the east and fifth in the UNCW record books. Teammate Brent Campbell continues to shine in the Long Jump with a career-best mark of 23-10.75, ranking seventh all-time for the Seahawks. Both will compete in their respective events this weekend.
